Thanks to our national addiction to Serial, the most popular podcast ever, more of us are seeking out podcasts for entertainment, insights, inspiration, news, and more. And that means more organizations are jumping in and integrating podcasts as a part of their content marketing mix. They can be more intimate than blogs, easier to consume on the go, and have high engagement.

One of our favorites is The Good Fight with Ben Wikler powered by MoveOn.org. Each week the show “tells David versus Goliath stories about changing the world from the behind-the-slingshot point of view.”  It’s a mix of comedy, activism, interviews, and stories about epic fights for justice. (Here’s the iTunes link to get listening)

So when Ben and the team put out a call to help keep The Good Fight “on air” through a crowdfunded Kickstarter campaign earlier this year, it was an easy “yes” to  jump in as a backer. Rather than a boring ad, the sponsor format is a conversation—in this case, between Ben and our founder/CEO, Joe Rospars.

Our episode rolled out this week and we couldn’t be happier that it’s featured in Good Fight #44,  showcasing the amazing Al Franken, U.S. Senator for Minnesota, BSD Tools power-user for nearly a decade, and champion in the fight against the Comcast-Time Warner merger.

And since Ben and his team put a lot of love into everything they do, we have about 20 minutes of great content that we thought we’d share with you as a pilot BSD podcast. Hear Joe and Ben discuss what we actually do around here, how the BSD Tools processed a billion dollars for President Obama, which nonprofit trends tend to fail, and the secret behind growing a progressive company while staying true blue and fighting the good fight. Happy listening:
