We are thrilled to receive three Official Honorees for the 19th Annual Webby Awards for our work with Google, the UK Labour Party, and EMILY’s List.
Google was recognized in the Technology category for Online Film and Video for this animated video with the father of the Internet, Vint Cerf (spoiler: you’ll see rainbows, cats, and animations). The video breaks down a complicated issue—how IP addresses are managed and what it means for Internet freedom—for our ongoing campaign with Google to keep the web free and open.
The UK Labour Party and EMILY’s List were both recognized under the Political Blog and Website category.
In advance of the May 7 election, Blue State Digital partnered with the Labour Party to transform their approach to digital engagement with a grassroots, supporter-centered strategy at its core. The new action-oriented responsive website serves as an engine to build and mobilize a rapidly growing community of advocates and has increased donations by 448%.
As the leading organization for women in politics, EMILY’s List wanted to revamp their digital experience to bring a greater number of supporters into the fold and connect potential donors with candidates. The new website puts candidates at the center of the conversation, providing quick access to what each candidate stands for, why their race matters, and what they face from adversaries and the media—and offers a seamless donation experience.
We’re so grateful for the opportunity to produce Webby-worthy work with such amazing partners. Huge thanks to everyone who participated in these inspiring projects!
